Global Youth Foundation Launches Volunteer Team and Mobilizes Youth for Vancouver Marathon 2026
Vancouver, Canada — April 23, 2026:Global Youth Foundation (GYF) proudly announces the official launch of its GYF Volunteer Team, marking a major step forward in its mission to cultivate youth leadership, community engagement, and social responsibility. As part of its inaugural initiative, GYF is calling for volunteers to participate in the upcoming Vancouver Marathon on May 3, 2026, one of the city’s largest and most anticipated public events.
The newly established GYF Volunteer Team is dedicated to building a community that “gives, learns, and grows together.” Through structured volunteer opportunities, the organization aims to:
- Support meaningful community initiatives
- Create real-world social impact
- Provide youth with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
For the Vancouver Marathon, GYF volunteers will be stationed at the start area near Stanley Park (Brewery Restaurant by the tennis courts), taking on key operational and support roles. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with start area setup
- Guiding and organizing participants at the starting line
- Supporting course marshalling under coordinator direction
- Encouraging runners as cheerleaders and motivators
- Distributing water and supplies to participants
“This is more than just a volunteer opportunity—it’s a platform for youth to engage with the community, gain hands-on experience, and be part of a major city event,” said a GYF representative. “We want students to step out of the classroom and contribute meaningfully to society.”
Participants will benefit from:
- Verified volunteer hours
- Experience working within a structured and collaborative team
- First-hand exposure to large-scale event operations
The initiative also reflects GYF’s broader vision of integrating education with real-world impact, empowering students not only academically but also socially and globally.

Global Youth Foundation Speech & Debate Club Excels at World Scholar’s Cup Vancouver Round
Vancouver, Canada-April 20, 2026:Global Youth Foundation (GYF) proudly announces that its Speech & Debate Club students achieved outstanding results at the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Vancouver Round (Junior Division), held on April 13, 2026. Competing as Team 101, the GYF delegation earned multiple Gold and Silver Medals across individual and team events and secured qualification for the Global Round.
Led by Team Leader Alex Wang and coached by Angela Zheng, Founder of the Global Youth Foundation Speech & Debate Club, the team demonstrated exceptional performance in Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge, and Scholar’s Bowl.

As a team, GYF students earned multiple Team Awards, reflecting strong collaboration and consistent excellence across all competition categories.
“The World Scholar’s Cup challenges students to think globally, argue logically, and communicate effectively,” said Alex Wang. “We are incredibly proud of our students’ discipline, growth, and achievements on this international platform.”
Coach Angela Zheng added, “These results reflect months of rigorous training in structured argumentation, academic writing, and critical thinking. More importantly, students have developed confidence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to engage with complex global issues.”
The Global Youth Foundation Speech & Debate Club provides a comprehensive training system integrating:

- Intensive mock competitions and personalized feedback

Global Youth Foundation Launches Math Club for Youth
White Rock, BC – September 02, 2025:The Math Club is founded and dedicated to helping students improve their mathematical abilities by focusing on practical problem-solving. Our club tackles challenging homework questions, explains tricky concepts, and works through solutions together in a supportive setting.
Members collaborate to explore multiple ways of approaching problems, discuss strategies, and clarify doubts. This interactive process helps students build stronger reasoning skills and gain a deeper understanding of the material.
By working on real problems and supporting each other, our club encourages active learning and helps members become more confident and capable in mathematics.


Global Youth Foundation Launches MTG Club for Youth in Greater Vancouver
Vancouver, BC – September 01, 2025:Global Youth Foundation (GYF) is proud to announce the establishment of the GYF MTG Club, founded by a talented local high school student and recent Magic: The Gathering (MTG) club champion. This young player, full of passion and potential, will soon represent the club at the upcoming regional tournament.
As one of the world’s most renowned strategy card games, Magic: The Gathering is more than just a game — it sharpens logical thinking, enhances strategic planning, and fosters concentration and collaboration. With great enthusiasm, the student champion hopes to introduce this healthy and intellectually engaging activity to more youth in the Greater Vancouver area.
The GYF MTG Club will host a series of free community events in the coming weeks, including beginner-friendly workshops, introduction sessions, and casual card exchanges, all designed to create a welcoming environment where young players can learn, connect, and grow.
Global Youth Foundation has always been committed to supporting holistic youth development, fostering leadership, creativity, and community responsibility. The launch of the MTG Club not only provides a platform for young players to showcase their talent, but also opens the door for more teenagers to experience an internationally celebrated intellectual game.

🌍 Global Youth Foundation Officially Launched by Exceptional Young Leaders from Canada, the U.S., and China
Vancouver, BC – December 4, 2024
The Global Youth Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit organization committed to fostering international leadership, civic engagement, and global citizenship, is proud to announce its official registration and launch in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Founded by a group of high-achieving students from top schools across Canada, the United States, and China, the Foundation represents a new generation of globally minded youth determined to create lasting social impact through education, advocacy, and cross-cultural collaboration.
The founding members include:

Wendy Feng – West Vancouver Secondary School, Canada
Jingkai Yu – University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada

Vallen He – Richmond Christian Academy, Canada
Vivian Zhang – University of California, Berkeley (UCB), United States

Langqi Zhong – New York University (NYU), United States
Together, these founders bring diverse perspectives, academic excellence, and a shared passion for public service. Their unique cross-border backgrounds are instrumental in shaping a foundation rooted in inclusion, youth empowerment, and sustainable global partnerships.
“Our mission is to empower young people to act as changemakers in their communities—locally and globally,” said Wendy Feng, one of the founding directors. “We believe youth can lead global conversations and be part of real solutions.”
The Foundation will launch initiatives in youth leadership training, global forums, volunteer service projects, and educational outreach—aimed at bridging international communities and building a more compassionate and cooperative future.
With its official registration now complete, the Global Youth Foundation invites collaboration with schools, nonprofits, and young leaders around the world.
