Vancouver, BC – June 6, 2026

Runyi Guan, Founder of GYF’s Life and Health Science Club.

On June 6th, 2026, the Life and Health Science Club was officially established to provide a supportive environment for students to engage with the community, serve others, and gain valuable insight into the healthcare field.

Our club connects students who are passionate about health sciences through volunteer opportunities, educational workshops, guest speaker events, and discussions on current topics in healthcare. Members have the opportunity to explore different healthcare professions, develop leadership and communication skills, and gain meaningful experiences that support their academic and career goals.

The club fosters a welcoming community where students collaborate, exchange ideas, and learn from one another while making a positive impact through service. By participating in health-related initiatives and community outreach, members develop a deeper understanding of the importance of compassion, teamwork, and lifelong learning in healthcare.

“We want to inspire students to explore the healthcare field, serve their communities with compassion, and develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become future leaders in health sciences.”

Health Science Admission Seminar

On June 13th, 2026, our Life and Health Science Club Exec shared insightful information regarding the journey into the health science world within the Canadian healthcare system.

During the meeting, members learned about the various educational pathways and career opportunities available in healthcare, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health professions. The presentation highlighted the importance of academic preparation, volunteer experience, research involvement, and community service in building a strong foundation for future healthcare careers.

Furthermore, university and degree options are also discussed.

Members also had the opportunity to ask questions, gain valuable advice from experienced students, and better understand the challenges and rewards of working in the healthcare field.

We look forward to continuing our preparation for future health-science-oriented students, providing them the best opportunities and advice in the medicine journey.
